Shizue Izawa, also known as Shizu, was a Japanese girl who was summoned to another world as a hero. Cursed with a powerful fire spirit, Ifrit, she sought a way to rid herself of the spirit's influence. In her journey, she met Rimuru Tempest, a slime with the ability to absorb and mimic powers.
