An ancient Greek myth and the protagonist of Homer's Iliad. Born to Thetis, a sea nymph, Achilles was made invulnerable after his mother bathed him in the river Styx. His only weakness is his heel. Achilles is a fearsome warrior in the war of Troy, and well known for his companion Patroclus.
