Shingo had an affinity for the dark arts, even before meeting Doctor Faust and The Twelve Apostles. He would read books about black magic and witchcraft, much to the dismay of his mother. Because of this, his friends would often refer to him as "Akuma-kun". Shingo is from the anime 'Akuma-Kun'.
